Hi Michael,

My first question would be why you suspect her to have that?

I have a problem with labels anyway. Whilst they can be helpful in terms of diagnosis and in some way to understand the person labelling someone won't change the behaviour, just put a name to it. Have you already approached her about the things she does that bother you? What was the reaction?

Hayley

Hi Hayley,

Yes I agree with you on labels: thus I have identified the following strangeness in her behaviour:

(as we are mainly chatting on Internet even we already met two times):
- our chat always start with the same question and sentences and its difficult to have a conversation with serious matters
- at the beginning (during 5 months) she was ofently having a provocating sexual play ( I interpreted like a game and stupidly I wasnt ckoked I found it more funny than anything else
-Suddenly in 2/3 weeks her behavior changed having about one chat per week
-her sign of empathy as for instance as she was supposed to be in love with me she was onlmy opening her mails in the evening while it was possible for her to open them in the morning
-I discovered she made also many "littlle" lies
As she is very attentiv to my reacts she noted my stonishment front of her lies ans started to be very offended of course denying these lies blaming me to have such thinking

Th problem is she is very depressed at the moment and I was asking myself if its usual to have histrionic people depressed during long period of time
Alsowhen I met her the second time she wanted to stay alone and one morning I remember she waked up passing front of me without any word and going straight to the washing room-
One other caracteristic is that person only"broadcast messages" but seems not to receive any thing because she doesnt listen or even listening seems not intertested by the messages-For instance lot of topics of my messages are without answer !!

Histrionic personality disorder is one of a group of conditions called dramatic personality disorders. People with these disorders have intense, unstable emotions and distorted self-images. For people with histrionic personality disorder, their self-esteem depends on the approval of others and does not arise from a true feeling of self-worth. They have an overwhelming desire to be noticed, and often behave dramatically or inappropriately to get attention. The word histrionic means “dramatic or theatrical.”
