Hypnotherapist

Definition of Hyonotherapist

Hypnotherapist is a therapist, who works with your own internal resources and capabilities through deep relaxation.

Hyonotherapy and Education

Hypnotherapy is a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation, during which you will be fully aware of what is taking place. It is a way of achieving a naturally ‘altered’ state, allowing your hypnotherapist to work with you in accessing your own internal resources and capabilities, helping you make the changes you want to make.

You cannot be made to do anything you do not want to do.  It is a way of helping you achieve your own goals.  There are no side effects and treatment is usually concluded within a short period of time (usually 1 – 3 sessions).

Those individuals who are receptive to hypnotherapy will generally notice some immediate benefits after their first session.  Hypnotherapy is effective for adults of all ages and children of school age and above.

Although there is no legislation in the UK to regulate hypnotherapy, a qualified hypnotherapist will usually have a diploma in hypnotherapy which will have involved approximately 200 hours of hypnotherapy training prior to accreditation.  They are also likely to be registered with a recognisable therapeutic organisation. Each member is bound by a specific code of ethics and has to demonstrate ongoing competence to remain a member.
